Access Bars®: The Basics of Access Consciousness®
What are Access Bars®?
Access Bars® is a technique developed by Gary Douglas in the early 1990s. This method involves 16 energy channels, also called "bars", that run through and around the head. These bars correspond to different aspects of life, such as health, relationships and finances. With Access Bars®, these specific points on the head are gently touched, which causes an electromagnetic discharge. This supports the release of stress, tension, fixed attitudes and decisions. The process promotes deep relaxation, mental clarity, increased creativity and improved performance.
What do scientists say?
Stress, anxiety and depression can have a significant impact on both our social functioning and our professional performance. Research has shown that people with these conditions have a significant dysregulation in brain activity, as demonstrated by QEEG (quantitative electroencephalography) scans. These scans reveal irregularities in brain activity, which are often associated with psychological symptoms. After a 60- to 90-minute Access Bars® session, brain activity has been shown to normalize, suggesting that the technique can contribute to an improved mental state. Neuroscientists such as Dr. Jeffrey L. Fannin and Dr. Terrie Hope have conducted research into the effects of Access Bars. Their findings point to several benefits, including:
Clients report improved focus and less mental chaos after sessions.
Due to reduced stress levels, many people feel better able to express their thoughts and feelings.
The technique has shown positive effects in reducing migraines and insomnia.
Significant improvements have been shown in symptoms of depression, panic attacks and anxiety.
Many people experience a heightened awareness of their intuition after sessions.
The clarity that comes from relaxation can lead to more effective ways of dealing with challenges.
The positive effects of Access Bars® are therefore not just anecdotal, but are supported by scientific research that maps the impact of stress on the brain and well-being of individuals.

What happens during a session with Honoré?
An Access Bars® session lasts 45 to 60 minutes. The client sits in a reclining chair or lies on a massage table. Honoré gently touches various points on the head, causing most clients to stop thinking and enter a state of deep relaxation. This touch stimulates a positive neurological response that triggers the body’s natural ability to relax, contributing to a greater sense of well-being.
Why choose Access Bars®?
What if you could pause that constant stream of thoughts? Honoré makes it easy to experience what that does to you. It is a journey of discovery to peace and clarity. While you lie comfortably, your head is emptied by a gentle touch on specific points on your head.
